Implore Governor to Keep Promises to Women and Families

(Sacramento) - Unifying their voices in support of women and families, the California Legislative Women’s Caucus (LWC) today hailed its legislative priorities under four pillars aimed at protecting and advancing the rights and opportunities for women and working families. The LWC also called on the Governor to keep his promise from last year to families by increasing childcare provider rates and childcare slots for the unmet needs of 85% of working Californians.

Sacramento (CA) – In a meeting with California State Legislators, technology industry leaders vowed to renew their commitment to find diverse technical talent at all levels, from company boards to specialized technical roles. Legislators representing the California Legislative Black Caucus, California Latino Legislative Caucus, California Legislative Women’s Caucus, and the California Asian Pacific Islander Caucus met with the decision-making executives to discuss current diversity efforts in the Silicon Valley.

Families, Working Parents and Children to Benefit

SACRAMENTO - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. joined the California Legislative Women's Caucus today to sign legislation that improves services and support for women, children and families in California. The bills signed today included seven of the eight bills the Caucus had legislative priorities as part of their Stronger California agenda.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens, chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus) and Senator Connie M. Leyva (D-Chino, Vice Chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus) released the following statement regarding today’s sexual assault allegations against Assemblyman Dababneh:
