SACRAMENTO – The bipartisan and bicameral California Legislative Women’s Caucus elected Senator Connie M. Leyva (D-Chino) as its Chair and Assemblywoman Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara) as Vice Chair, effective immediately.

SACRAMENTO – The allegations against Senator Joel Anderson are deeply disturbing and warrant a full investigation.  All legislative staff, lobbyists, visitors to the Capitol, and legislators deserve to be treated with respect.  Sexual harassment and threats of violence are never acceptable and those who engage in that type of behavior must be held accountable.

LWC Leadership applauds budget that prioritizes California's working families and children

SACRAMENTO – Today we advance a budget that provides greater opportunities for California’s working families. The two greatest increases in the 2018-19 budget help families rise up from the deepest levels of poverty and address access and workforce needs in our early learning community. We continued our commitment to childcare and, with this budget, have made great gains. Our state’s working families have shown great tenacity and resourcefulness to stay in the workforce, champion the needs of others and creatively meet the needs of their children.
