Board of Equalization Member Michelle Steel accepts her award as a “Woman of Distinction” from the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus (Senator Noreen Evans and Assemblywoman Bonnie Lowenthal).
Michelle Steel, the country’s highest-elected Korean American officeholder and California’s highest-ranking Republican woman, is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Equalization. A successful businesswoman and longtime taxpayer advocate, Michelle has also served on the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and the LA Department of Children and Family Services.
