SACRAMENTO – Senator Connie M. Leyva (D-Chino), Chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus and Assemblymember Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara), Vice Chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus issued the following statement after Megan Dahle was sworn-in to the California State Assembly:

“Today is a remarkable day as Assemblymember Megan Dahle is sworn-in to represent Assembly District 1.  She also brings the Women’s Caucus to a historic high of 38 women in the Legislature and—out of 4,444 members serving in the Legislature since 1849—Assemblymember Dahle is the 167th woman ever to raise her right hand as a newly sworn-in legislator.  We congratulate and welcome Assemblymember Dahle and look forward to working with her in the years ahead.”
